Fiction reading sidetracked by work and It’s a Shore Thing. Maybe I need to give Zelazny a second chance. I really liked this novel, with its cranky protagonist and proleptic paranoia about a data-rich day in which surveillance was inescapable. Also, hello — dolphins and Huizinga? Lesson learned: be a more forgiving reader.
But still, the gender politics pretty much suck, just not in a Conan the Barbarian kind of way.
